Q: Just a final message for companies who still aren’t ISO certified ?

Gerrie: Please do not look at ISO as necessary evil; some folks look at this as a huge paper exercise; the way we approach this, is by ensuring paper is not an issue. We have gone largely electronic with the systems we help implement. Some think that the costs are prohibitively high. Our biggest aim is to help companies succeed with implementing ISO. Some companies have failed to properly implement ISO. What did they do: ”BLAME THE STANDARD”. The ISO9001 Standard must be seen as a 4-pound hammer in a fitter’s toolbox; it is a tool that helps you achieve something. Give ISO a chance. It must be seen as an opportunity to improve the company’s processes and ultimately profitability.
